摘要: The aim of the present study was to clarify effect carbohydrate (CHO) supplementation on moderate and high-intensity endurance exercise in heat. Eight endurance-trained men [maximal oxygen uptake ( VO(2max)) 59.5+/-1.6 ml kg(-1) bw(-1), mean+/-SE] cycled exhaustion twice at 60% VO(2max) 73% an ambient temperature 35 degrees C. Subjects ingested either a 6.4% maltodextrin solution or artificially flavoured coloured placebo (PLA). Time fatigue significantly greater with CHO both trials (14.5% 13.5% improvement, respectively). Heart rate VO(2)) did not differ any point between PLA CHO. Hypoglycaemia seen condition but plasma glucose concentrations tended be higher intensities when fed. oxidation rates were similar PLA. There no differences rise rectal temperatures T(rec)) intensity there trend for subjects high taking Ratings perceived exertion (RPE) lower throughout trials; this significant 80 min VO(2max). It is concluded that improves performance heat intensities. In absence clear metabolic explanation, central involving increased tolerance rising deep body merits further investigation.
