Brief psychotherapy in family practice. A controlled prospective intervention trial.

摘要: In a prospective (controlled) trial, the result in 18 patients receiving eight, weekly half-hour sessions of brief problem-oriented dynamic psychotherapy was compared with an equal number family practitioner therapy and another 20 no additional therapy. The subjects were drawn from at ten suburban practices Sydney. They had psychological complaints for least six months. No differences between three treatment groups found final outcome, either symptom severity social dysfunction factor or physical disability medication factor.
