摘要: Poly(lactide-co-glycolic acid) (PLGA) particles are biocompatible and biodegradable, can be used as a carrier for various chemotherapeutic drugs, imaging agents targeting moieties. Micrometer-sized PLGA were synthesized with gold nanoparticles DiI dye within the shell, perfluorohexane liquid (PFH) in core. Upon laser irradiation, shell absorbs energy, activating core (liquid conversion to gas). The rapidly expanding gas is expelled from particle, resulting microbubble; this violent process cause damage cells tissue.
