摘要: Application of traditional Chinese drug, artemisinin, originally derived from Artemisia annua L., in malaria therapy has now been globally accepted. Artemisinin and its derivatives, with their established safety records, form the first line treatment via artemisinin combination therapies (ACTs). In addition to antimalarial effects, recently evaluated terms antitumour, antibacterial, antiviral, antileishmanial, antischistosomiatic, herbicidal other properties. However, low levels plants have emerged various conventional, transgenic nontransgenic approaches for enhanced production drug. According WHO (2014), approximately 3.2 billion people are at risk this disease. unfortunately, availability is still facing short supply. To fulfil artemisinin’s global demand, no single method alone reliable, there a need collectively use conventional advanced higher production. Further, it unique structure that makes potential drug not only against but diseases as well. Execution action through multiple mechanisms probably reason behind wide spectrum action. Unfortunately, due clues developing resistance parasites, become desirable explore all possible modes so new generation drugs can be developed future. The present review provides comprehensive updates on strategies level.
