摘要: Patella sleeve fracture is a rare that only occurs in children. Diagnosis difficult both clinically and radiologically. A high-riding patella hemarthrosis are important signs when diagnosing this fracture. We report case of an 11-year-old boy who suffered from without visible bony fragments on lateral radiograph. Open reduction with transosseous tunneling patellotibial cerclage wiring for anastomosis protection was performed. Early weight bearing achieved together satisfactory range knee motion. Premature anterior physeal arrest noted because insertion wire the open physis. However, no genu recurvatum present 2 years after initial operation. An awareness fracture, its characteristic clinical radiological features, to avoid misdiagnosis treatment delay. If technique used, care should be taken not disturb proximal tibial apophysis.
