摘要: The energy future must be accessible, affordable and mainly sustainable. Actually, there is an increased demand for worldwide, 80 % of the present use based on fossil fuels. Not only are oil prices increasing but also pollution continues to rise due burning fuels, probability supply depletion remains. A critical part solution will lie in promoting renewable technologies order address concerns about security, economic growth face high crude oil, competitiveness, health costs environmental degradation. All these issues encourage investigation using energy, which has several unique advantages that should considered when making comparison with oil-based alternatives. Besides, achieving sustainable development a target now widely recognized as important humankind. In this context, utilization resources such solar, wind geothermal appears one most efficient effective ways goal since abundant universally holds huge ecological promise. Although Kingdom Saudi Arabia world’s major producer exporter fuel, represents biggest consumers petroleum Middle East, interested taking active exploitation technologies. fact, unsustainable fuels activities responsible significant greenhouse gas emissions consistently upslope. That why was among first countries contribute research through joint international cooperation programs, despite fact it occupies very advanced rank world terms proven reserves. This paper describes current status focuses energy-efficient technologies, achievements, government policies challenges.
