摘要: Abstract This study aims to investigate the potential of Coriandrum Sativum leaves as a green biosorbent. The produced biosorbent was characterized by Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscopy (FESEM), Fourier-Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR) and Thermogravimetric analysis/ Differential Calorimetry (TGA/DSC) analyses. FESEM results indicate formation irregular shapes with non-uniform distribution. FTIR analysis revealed presence –OH groups, C–H stretching alkanes, amide areas that are characteristics proteins enzymes. TGA/DSC specifies weight loss after 340 °C is attributed degradation lignin cellulose hemicelluloses content in C. Sativum. Results from characterization indicates use can be promising for treatment polluted water owing its low cost highly availability.
