Phosphate repression of cephamycin and clavulanic acid production by Streptomyces clavuligerus

摘要: Production of cephamycin and clavulanic acid by Streptomyces clavuligerus is controlled the phosphate concentration. Phosphate represses biosynthesis “cephamycin synthetase”, expandase “clavulanic synthetase”. In presence 2 mM phosphate, specific activities expandase, synthetase” were higher than in 75 phosphate. The activity synthetase maximal with an initial concentration 10 mM, whereas 1 A correlation between was established at concentrations mM. This shows that important enzyme mechanism which affects cephamycin.
