摘要: Abstract Escherichia coli, strain K106, is a spontaneous revertant from streptomyc-independent in which the requirement for streptomycin growth suppressed by mutation outside strA locus. Previous studies have shown that mutant cells slower rate than streptomycin-sensitive wild type and defect assembly of 50 s ribosomal subunit; monosomes an altered response to when assayed ability support vitro polypeptide synthesis primed with polyuridylic acid. In this report we show relative sensitivity ribosomes property 30 subunit. addition, natural messenger used cell-free system, combinations containing either or subunits substantially reduced functional capacity. Chromatography on phosphocellulose proteins shows no differences proteins; however, K106 contain one protein elutes column at position different analogous wild-type streptomycin-dependent strains. This not streptomycin-resistant dependent ribosomes. The relation complex phenotype discussed.
