摘要: The aortic valve operates in a complex haemodynamic environment, opening and closing over 100,000 times day. When complications arise, such as stenosis, prognosis can be very poor, leading to death within the first few years. Surgical replacement is currently standard treatment for stenosis. A thorough understanding of anatomy function native imperative when developing prosthetic that withstand demands heart. This review focuses on anatomy, structure disease implications transcatheter (TAVR). Current with TAVR, major vascular bleeding, conduction disturbances patient-prosthesis mismatch (PPM), overcome by reducing delivery profile through use more accurate imaging technologies work towards fully functional durable prosthesis.
