摘要: The neuroprotective effect of DBZIM, a novel imidazolium compound, has previously been documented to slow down neurodegeneration in mouse model Parkinson's disease. In this study, we conducted behavioural studies and further investigated the neuroprotection rat Parkinsonian induced by 6-hydroxydopamine (6-OHDA). DBZIM was found significantly reduce 6-OHDA-induced asymmetrical rotation preferential usage contralateral forelimbs. Furthermore, degeneration tyrosine hydroxylase immunopositive (TH+) dopaminergic neurones substantia nigra par compacta (SNc) illustrated immunohistochemistry. significant loss TH+ 6-OHDA administration ameliorated three different doses treatment bell-shape manner. Such also observed 6-OHDA-lesioned striata. High-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) analysis striatal tissues revealed that beneficially maintained dopamine level slowing its metabolism. addition, attenuated activation astrocytes microglia. This suggests anti-inflammation may be an additional mechanism underlying DBZIM-mediated neuroprotection. These findings warrant investigation as promising potent agent for future
