摘要: Objective: Maximal right ventricular (RV) function is influenced by left heart hemodynamics, possibly mediated the interventricular septum (IVS). We examined potential contribution of IVS to function. Methods: In 12 canine isovolumic preparations, incremental volumes were introduced into a high compliance RV balloon until failure occurred. developed pressure (RVDP) and maximal positive dP/dt determined with working at constant (LV) output 2 l/min mean arterial 80 mmHg. Thereafter was thermally inactivated, measurements repeated using same protocol. Results: At LV output, thermal inactivation led significant decrease in RVDP (inactivated vs. IVS: 36.1∠ 9.8 56.8 ∠ 16.2 mmHg, respectively, P , 0.001), 720 220 1350 190 mmHg/s, 0.001). Conclusions: These results suggest that functional status major determinant conditions pressure, an inactivated leads d P/dt under this study. © 1998 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved
