摘要: Groundwater samples were collected from a coastal region of Andhra Pradesh to assess the possible conditions formation carbonates. The area experiences semi-arid climate and is underlain by khondalites, over which Quaternary sediments occur. study geochemistry groundwater indicates that mostly fresh, with alkaline nature. further suggest breakdown feldspars as kaolinite during rock-water interaction, releases Ca2+. Soils/weathered products contribute high CO2 under open system. Ca2+ are added through infiltrating recharge water. They subsequently precipitate fine-grained carbonates in weathering profile due evapotranspiration freshwater environment.
