The determination of the morphology of melanocytes by laser-generated periodic surface structures

摘要: We generated self-organized, grating-like structures on the surface of polyethylene-terephthalate by ArF excimer laser ablation. Tilting polymer films with angles larger than 60°, we got parallel grooves. The changes caused illumination were qualified AFM. period was approximately 1 μm, which is commensurable characteristic size melanocytes. examined cell shape normal epidermal melanocytes (M-C) and from skin one neurofibromatosis patient (M-NFS) in vitro. number dendrites per cell, length orientation several hundred cells evaluated an image-processing program. It proven that morphology determined topography structured substrate. All are aligned to grooves show typical bipolar shape. In contrast, untreated part substrate, randomly oriented, NF have more dendrites.
