摘要: Abstract The Cuerpo de Hombre paleoglacier occupies the upper sector of river basin, located on northwest slope Sierra Bejar Mountains (Iberian Central System). At stage maximum ice extent during last glacial cycle, this was one longest tongues emerging from plateau glacier. study morphostratigraphic succession and geometric genetic relations between geomorphological indicators has revealed its evolutionary sequence cycle. comparison previously established by a regional pattern shows that although they both coincide in general terms, some stages/substages must be corrected or more clearly defined. absolute chronology different stages obtained using terrestrial cosmogenic nuclides (10Be). been dated to ∼25.0 ka (MIS2 concurrent with LGM). This coincides date for other paleoglaciers Iberian System, but is slightly modern than estimated as most likely these areas. Subsequent reaching extent, glacier had retreat (minimum age ∼20.6 ka), followed another expansion readvance, after which it stabilised until start deglaciation (∼17.8 ka). In all previous work, System have described continuous recession process. However, paleoglacier, data point stabilisations considerable magnitude, particularly readvance Based ∼11.1 ka) significance, new correlated Older Dryas stadial.
