摘要: Electronic energy transfer from molecules to metal surfaces at distances < 50 A has been measured. monolayer of luminescent is separated a single crystal surface by layer physisorbed Ar. The luminescence quantum yield measured as function the Ar spacer thickness. cubic distance dependence observed, in agreement with classical image dipole theory.
