摘要: Profilin is a small actin-binding protein and expressed at high levels in mature pollen where it thought to regulate actin filament dynamics upon germination tube growth. The majority of identified plant profilins contain MAP kinase phosphorylation motif, P-X-T-P, interaction motif (KIM). In vitro assays, the tobacco kinases p45(Ntf4) SIPK, when activated by NtMEK2, can phosphorylate profilin NtProf2. Mutagenesis threonine residue this as site phosphorylation. Fractionation extracts showed that found exclusively high-speed pellet fraction while SIPK are predominantly cytosolic. These data identify one first substrates be directly phosphorylated plants.
