摘要: We were concerned with the effects of item repetition, list length, and class on free recall in elderly as compared young adults. In Experiment 1, samples adults recalled a 27 words action events (minitasks performed by subjects). Some items presented once some twice. Although younger subjects showed better both types lists, older sample benefited from repetition much did sample. This finding was replicated 2. A second 2 significant aging effect long but not short lists events. The absence an Age X Repetition Effect interaction ascribed to strength nature manipulation. age attributed possible deficits retrieval proficiency.
