摘要: Electron impact inner-shell ionisation followed by autoionisation can dominate the total double-ionisation cross section for certain atomic ions. For Xe+ indirect contribution from 4d10 5s2 5p5 to 4d9 Auger decay is calculated be three times direct 'double-knockout' contribution. The distorted-wave found strongly influenced both ground-state correlations and term dependence in ejected-electron continuum. authors' results are reasonable agreement with recent experimental crossed-beam measurements of Achenbach et al. (1983).
