摘要: –  Atraumatic Restorative Treatment, ART, is a method of minimal caries intervention that uses only hand instruments. The aim the present study was to explore possible difference between extent discomfort experienced during dental treatment according ART approach and using rotary performed in Indonesia. A total 403 children were randomly divided two groups. In each child, one class II restoration deciduous molar made. One group received instruments (750 r.p.m.). other treated approach. Glass ionomer cement used for both Discomfort scores determined physiological measurements (heart rate) behavioral observations (Venham) on specific moments treatment. Venham showed marked groups at most time points. Heart rate different deep excavation. Also, clear relation heart could be found all Confounding shown operating dentist, gender patient initial anxiety, not age. No effect modification shown.
