摘要: Caveolin-1, a tyrosine-phosphorylated protein, is supposed to have different regulatory roles as promoter or suppressor in many human cancers. However, no published study concerned its expression benign and malignant salivary gland tumors. The aim of this was evaluate compare the Cav-1 most common tumors correlation with proliferation activity. In cross-sectional retrospective study, immunohistochemical caveolin-1 Ki67 were evaluated 49 samples, including 11 normal glands, 15 cases pleomorphic adenoma (PA), 13 adenoid cystic carcinomas (AdCC), 10 mucoepidermoid (MEC). seen 18 % glands 85 % immunoreaction significantly higher than tissues (P = 0.001), but difference between not significant (P = 0.07). Expression correlated labeling index PAs, association tumor size stage. Overexpression found comparison tissues, observed inversely PA. Therefore, marker may participate tumorigenesis be potential biomarker for cancer treatments.
