摘要: Adrenalectomy produces many changes in gastric functional parameters including acid secretion, motility and mucosal blood flow. The present study was undertaken to assess the effect of acute bilateral adrenalectomy reserpine on mucus secretion degradation pyloric ligated rats. Groups Wistar rats mixed sexes were adrenalectomized or administered with 5 mg/kg intraperitoneally given both treatment followed by ligation. Adherent assessed alcian blue binding technique while erosion surface gel from appearance sialic acids galactose juice. Gastric mucosa injury quantified measuring area damage. amount bound adherent soluble mucin concentration not significantly affected (P > 0.05). Reserpine diminished increased glycoprotein Adrenalectomized animals (40%, n = 5) developed haemorrhagic lesions as compared 100% (n treated reserpine. propranolol did protect against induced injury. It is concluded that adrenal glands seem be no importance but inhibits release stimulates breakdown via β-adrenoceptor stimulation.
