Efficient synthesis of Benzimidazoles using zeolite, alumina and silica gel under microwave irradiation

摘要: As benzimidazole ring is an important pharmacophore in modern drug discovery and benzimidazoles are very intermediates organic reactions, the preparation of has gained considerable attention recent years. Here, a comparative study on synthesis from aromatic, aliphatic heterocyclic carboxylic acid, benzonitrile o-phenylenediamine under microwave irradiation solvent-free conditions catalyzed by alumina, silica gel zeolite presented. All synthesized compounds characterized 1H-NMR, IR, Mass CHNS analysis.
