摘要: The ester base oil of dioctyl adipate (DOA) was oxidized in an oven at 200 °C for 30 h, and variations the physicochemical tribological properties were studied. To investigate thermal-oxidation mechanism, products analyzed by gas chromatography–mass spectrometry (GC−MS), process simulated using visual reactive force field molecular dynamics (ReaxFF MD). results indicated that total acid number (TAN) increased significantly because presence 14% carboxylic acids low weight monoesters. improved formation strongly polar acids. Additionally, increase kinematic viscosity limited due to high polymerization degradation products. Thermal-oxidative mechanisms proposed combining ReaxFF MD simulations GC−MS results.
