摘要: This paper reports a series of studies on the lubricant properties, elastohydrodynamic film thickness, and coefficients friction several commercially available ester base stocks, i.e., diisooctyl phthalate (DIOP), diisodecyl (DIDP), diisotridecyl (DITDP), sebacate (DOS), (DTDS), trihydroxymethylpropyl trioleate (TMPTO), pentaerythritol tetraoleate (PETO). The results include densities viscosities from 303 to 398 K, thicknesses in boundary, mixed full-film lubrication regimes measured at temperatures, loads, speeds. These stocks have different abilities owing their chain lengths, geometric configurations, molecular rigidity. study provides quantitative insight into use ester-based lubricants for low through entire regime (boundary full film) by utilization suitable type size stocks.
