摘要: In this paper, we seek similarity solutions to the shallow water (Saint-Venant) equations for describing motion of a non-Boussinesq, gravity-driven current in an inertial regime. The is supplied fluid by source placed at inlet horizontal plane. Gratton and Vigo (1994) found Saint-Venant when Benjamin-like boundary condition was imposed front (i.e., nonzero flow depth); Benjamin represents resisting effect ambient Boussinesq small-density mismatch between surrounding fluid). contrast, non-Boussinesq currents depth expected be zero absence friction. show that also admit case regimes provided there no shear vertical profile streamwise velocity field. case, takes form acute wedge with straight free separated from body bore.
