Effect of Li, Na, K cations on photoluminescence of GdAlO3:Eu3+ nanophosphor and study of Li cation on its antimicrobial activity

摘要: Abstract Alkali metal cations such as Li, Na, K (1mol %) co-doped GdAlO3:Eu3+ (1 mol%) nanophosphors were synthesized by solution combustion technique using oxalyldihydrazide (ODH: C2H6N4O2) fuel. The structural, morphological, luminescence and antimicrobial activity has been employed to the nanoparticles. All compounds crystallized in pure orthorhombic phase with no impurity peak. SEM micrographs showed agglomerated irregular shaped particles. average crystallite size was calculated William-Hall plots is found be range 30–40 nm. characteristic emission peaks of Eu3+ ions recorded it due 5D0→7FJ (J = 1, 2, 3, 4) transitions. PL intensity GdAlO3:Eu3+nano phosphor improved evidently alkali cation co-doping, local distortion crystal field surrounding activator. These find potential applications WLEDs solid state lighting. Antimicrobial GdAlO3:Eu3+: Li+ nanophosphor against pathogenic microorganisms both human plants carried out micro plate dilution for bacteria food poison method fungi.
