Angular distribution of the surface excitation probability for medium-energy electrons backscattered from a polycrystalline Au surface

摘要: Reflection electron energy-loss spectra have been measured for medium-energy electrons backscattered from a polycrystalline Au surface emission angles between 15 and 90° with respect to the normal as well incidence in same range. The excitation parameter (SEP) was extracted each spectrum by fitting raw data theory determining ratio of first loss peak elastic intensity. Both energy angular dependence SEP can be described free when momentum is rescaled material-dependent allowing predicted medium energies arbitrary geometries. Copyright © 2001 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
