摘要: Botulinum neurotoxins, produced by the anaerobic bacterium Clostridium botulinum, are most toxic poisons known to man. The neurotoxins food poisons. Once ingested, neurotoxin is absorbed through intestinal mucosal layer into blood stream. It acts at neuromuscular junction inhibit release of acetylcholine (a neurotransmitter) from nerve endings (Simpson, 1989). result dreaded botulism disease, which manifested flaccid muscle paralysis.
