摘要: Abstract Growth in plant cell or organ size, mass number over time can be described mathematically by a sigmoidal growth curve with different phases characterized rates. Therefore, the timing of sampling strongly influences quantitative outcome study and is great importance if efficacy protocol to evaluated. The use explants also influence (or speed) developmental outcome, but impact not as sampling. In this study, two species (an orchid apple) were used demonstrate role for evaluating tissue culture experiments, its on conclusions drawn there from. Using protocorm-like bodies (PLBs) hybrid Cymbidium Twilight Moon ‘Day Light’ (Orchidaceae), development newly formed PLBs was assessed quantified at seven intervals: 10, 20, 30, 45, 60, 90 120 days. optimal lay between 45 60 days, just prior PLB forming shoot. addition, using apple ( Malus  ×  domestica ) scions regeneration abilities (easy-to-regenerate ‘Royal Gala’ difficult-to-regenerate ‘Freedom’), adventitious shoots leaf segments after 5 28, 35, 42, 49 63 effect genotype position source shoot are presented. With such wide margins interpretation both species, caution should taken researchers who extrapolate beyond what reported paper one genus, cultivar application other germplasm, even within same phylum.
