摘要: The source parameters and slip distribution of the 2013 May 11 Mw 6.1 Minab earthquake are studied using seismology, geodesy field observations. We observe left-lateral strike-slip motion on a fault striking ENE–WSW; approximately perpendicular to previously faults in Minab–Zendan–Palami zone. that ruptured is one series ∼E–W visible geology geomorphology. These accommodate velocity equivalent right-lateral shear ∼N–S planes by clockwise rotations about vertical axes. presence these can reconcile differences estimates rates western Makran from GPS Quaternary dating. longitudinal range likely be controlled distance over which underthrusting Arabian lithosphere deepens transition continent–continent collision Zagros oceanic subduction Makran.
