摘要: Proactive inhibition - the anticipation of having to stop a response relies on objective information contained in cue-related contingencies environment, as well subjective interpretation derived from these cues. To date, most studies brain areas underlying proactive have exclusively considered predictive value environmental cues, by varying probability stop-signals. However, only taking into account effect different cues activation, component how affect behavior is ignored. We used modified stop-signal task that includes measurement for expectation, investigate this interpretation. After presenting cue indicating will occur, subjects were asked whether they expected occur. Furthermore, time was retrospectively model activation related stop-expectation. found more during period 50% probability, when contrasting with 0%, mid and inferior frontal gyrus, parietal lobe putamen. When vs. unexpected trials, we modest effects parietal, occipital areas. With our third contrast, modeled trial-by-trial variances times. This yielded putamen, lobe, gyrus. Our study first use behavioral identify regions, employing an unbiased task-design temporally separates response.
