摘要: Publisher Summary Some of the naturally occurring fusidic acid-related antibiotics include helvolic acid, cephalosporin P family, and formed by Fusidium coccineum. Helvolic acid contains same skeleton as but substitution pattern rings A, B, C is different. Its antibacterial properties are qualitatively similar to those acid. Fusidic inhibits in vivo vitro protein synthesis both prokaryotic eukaryotic cells. In Staphylococcus aureus , two types resistance may occur. One these involves chromosomal mutations giving rise modification protein-synthesizing machinery. The other type known occur staphylococci plasmid mediated. This results from exclusion antibiotic bacterial cell. It has been observed that structure–activity relationships among 16-deacetoxy-16β-alkylthiofusidic acids very 16β-alkoxy series.
