摘要: The Bradbury-Nielsen time-of-flight technique has been used to measure the longitudinal-diffusion coefficient ${D}_{L}$ for potassium ions in nitrogen $\frac{E}{N}$ range $2.83l~\frac{E}{N}(\mathrm{Td})l~28.3$, where $E$ is electric field strength and $N$ gas number density. results are consistent with value predicted by Nernst-Townsend (or Einstein) relation within claimed experimental error of 3%. variation compared predictions Wannier, based on a Maxwellian model.
