摘要: An improved low noise amplifier (LNA) architecture is presented for WiMedia ultrawideband radio frequency frontend.The LNA topology addresses the issue of reduction keeping power consumption to a minimum by employing transconductance “gm” boosted common gate (CG) with series peaking, operating in spectrum. This CG utilizes an active gm-boosting stage where bias current shared between and self-biased amplifying stage. In conjunction LC T-network further reduce figure (NF) finite output conductance (gds), inductive peaking used widen pass-band. The proposed designed using 130 nm IBM CMOS process achieved input return loss (S11) (S22) −10 dB −14 dB, respectively. exhibits forward gain (S21) around 14 NF ranging 3.5 4.1 dB. complete chip dissipates 5 mW from 1.0 V supply referred third order intercept point (IIP3) 1-dB compression (ICP1dB) −4.8 dBm −12.1 dBm, © 2011 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
