摘要: Treating patients with personality disorders (PD) significant over-regulation of affects, poor metacognition and a restricted interpersonal schema repertoire requires specialized procedures. We present here the case man in his 30s suffering from Avoidant PD overall 21 criteria met, co-occurring axis I disorders. Metacognitive Interpersonal Therapy was used, after 1 year therapy, outcome good, although therapy is still continuing. First, more nuanced understanding mental states then attempts at change began, which led to modification patient's negative self-image reduction social avoidance.
