摘要: Over the past years there has been a significant growth in corporate reporting of environmental,social and governance (ESG) factors. This study assesses whether ESG ratings are related to firmperformance. Through multivariate analysis we have confirmed differences between scores used toevaluate environmental, social factors rated companies. We checked that although is correlation them, companies do not rank equally therefore their economic results might vary among indicators. found selected US bottom 25% (Worst In Class, termed WIC) industries according perform significantly better than those top 25%, (Best BIC). also BIC higher revenue per employee cash flow share compared industry medians. Attending these results, it seems extreme strategies on issues produce line with industry.
