摘要: Metabolic syndrome (MetS) is established as the combination of central obesity and different metabolic disturbances, such insulin resistance, hypertension dyslipidemia. This cluster factors affects approximately 10%-50% adults worldwide prevalence has been increasing in epidemic proportions over last years. Thus, dietary strategies to treat this heterogenic disease are under continuous study. In sense, diets based on negative-energy-balance, Mediterranean pattern, n-3 fatty acids, total antioxidant capacity meal frequency have suggested effective approaches MetS. Furthermore, type percentage carbohydrates, glycemic index or load, fiber content some most relevant aspects related resistance impaired glucose tolerance, which important co-morbidities Finally, new studies focused molecular action specific nutritional bioactive compounds with positive effects MetS currently an objective scientific research worldwide. The present review summarizes employed treatment date.
