Speech perception and functional benefit after cochlear implantation: a multicentre survey in Finland.

摘要: This study was done to survey the effect of cochlear implantation on hearing level, speech perception and listening performance in Finnish-speaking adults. The subjects comprise 67 Pure-tone thresholds (0.125-8 kHz), word recognition were studied before after implantation. After switch-on implant, median values PTA 0.5-4 kHz sound field fairly stable across evaluation period. Three months mean score 54%. There clear improvement scores over a longer period time, being 71% 24 switch-on. Six switch-on, majority (40/48) able recognize some without speechreading, 26 these 48 use telephone with known speaker, gaining good functional benefit from
