摘要: Paenibacillus sp. S29 was isolated from soil and produces an alginate lyase. The molecular weight of this enzyme 32 kDa the N-terminal amino acid sequence ASVTKST. optimal pH approximately 8.7 stable over a range 5.6 to 8.8 at 40 °C for 60 min. temperature 50 °C, residual activity not decreased temperatures up 8 30 min. lyase had also little toward hyaluronic acid. Poly G poly M separated were degraded efficiently, more susceptible substrate. maximum amount reducing sugar released by 261 mg per gram sodium alginate. main monosaccharide (unsaturated uronate) small amounts oligosaccharides degree polymerization 2–6 released.
