摘要: Abstract Objective To determine the physiologic and glycemic responses to energy drinks by people with type 1 diabetes. Methods In a double-blind randomized comparison of Red Bull, Bull Light control drink, 16 adults (11 females; average age 31.5 years) diabetes an glycated hemoglobin (A1C) 68 mmol/mol were given 750 mL Suso Orange in random order. During 3 hours, comparisons made blood pressure glucose caffeine levels; 4-choice reaction time (4CRT) digit symbol substitution test used assess cognitive performance. Mood was measured using University Wales Institute Science Technology mood adjective checklist. Results Consumption associated early sustained rise glucose, which augmented (p=0.02). A transient systolic (115.9 mm Hg 124.5 mm 115.8 125.9 Hg, respectively, both p Conclusions can result significant carbohydrate load for diabetes, patients must consider need adjust their insulin regimens appropriately. Caffeine-containing cause pressure, may be important consideration individuals at risk diabetes-related complications.
