摘要: abstract The near-field signature of the vortical structures shed from blade tips behind a 2.5 MW horizontalaxis wind turbine in stably-strati fied atmospheric boundary layer (ABL) was quanti ed for rsttime. This study utilizes velocity measurements sonic anemometers installed on meteor-ological tower, which offers continuous characterization conditions field, at elevationscoinciding with bottom, hub and top tip heights turbine. Using stringent criteria windspeed, direction steadiness, we are able to subsample dataset anemometersare positioned near edge wake. spectral analysis this shows distinctpeak rotational frequency (f T ) height measurements. Based recentliterature, infer that peak is tip-vortices, shift fromblade-passing (3f )tof likely be caused by vortex grouping phenomena. Slight changes ofmeanwind other data samples result absence peak, suggesting verylocal extent vortices.& 2015 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
