摘要: Abstract The interactions between two streamwise vortices were investigated by wind tunnel testing of NACA0012 vanes at various lateral offsets. One vane was spaced 10 chord lengths (C) downstream the other, with both an angle incidence 8 degrees and a Reynolds number 7 × 4 . evolution vortex pair observed until 6.5C behind using Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV). It found that proximity upstream to had significant effect on rotational rate subsequent pair, far offset cases having little rotation, near field changes 19.6 per length travelled downstream. At point impingement vane, dropped zero due strength reduction vortices. strongest interaction be laterally from closest −0.15C, suction side vane. In range investigated, instability in only vortex. These instabilities increased as decreased, peaking where strongest.
