摘要: We have investigated a method to individualize the planning target volume (PTV) for deformable targets in radiotherapy by combining computer tomography (CT) scan with multiple cone beam (CB)CT scans. All combinations of CT and up five initial CBCTs were considered. To exclude translational motion, clinical volumes (CTVs) matched CTV CT. PTVs unions, intersections all other structures defined constant location frequency. The was three bladder cancer patients 20-27 CBCTs. Reliable alternatives standard PTV required use at least four scans planning. unions or gave similar results when considering fraction individual repeat CTVs they volumetrically covered 99%. For patient 1, 64% these 2, 86% covered. Further, occupied except one seemed clinically feasible. On average, 52% CBCT 1 2 minimum 99% their total volume. 3, failed due poor control bladder. suggested could, considerably improved conformity, complement PTV.
