摘要: The removal of heavy metal ions and organic materials from wastewater due to their toxicity is necessary. In the present study, titanium dioxide/zinc oxide (TiO2 /ZnO) nanocomposite has been coated on sewage sludge carbon (SSC) surface its application was investigated for adsorption Ni(II), Cu(II), chemical oxygen demands (COD) reduction aqueous solutions industrial wastewaters in Eshtehard, Iran. effect parameters a single system such as TiO2 /ZnO ratio, concentration, pH, adsorbent dosage, contact time, ionic strength, temperature, initial concentrations COD capacity synthesized SSC/TiO2 adsorbent. pseudo-second order Redlich-Peterson isotherm models were best described kinetic equilibrium data sorption. maximum monolayer sorption capacities found be 62.3, 75.1, 1,120.3 mg/g, respectively. central composite design used investigate interaction effects pH simultaneous ternary system. potential PRACTITIONER POINTS: novel carbon/TiO2 synthesized. Adsorption investigated. Maximum 1,120.3 mg/g. Simultaneous
