摘要: Publisher Summary Nerve terminals in the brain possess specialized uptake mechanisms for a variety of putative neurotransmitters, such as dopamine (DA), norepinephrine (NE), serotonin, γ-aminobutyric acid (GABA) and, possibly, glutamic and glycine. This chapter describes specific several neurotransmitters their use labeling separating synaptosomes storing different neurotransmitters. The proposes to these systems endogenous transmitter pools with exogenous, radioactive one class 3 H-transmitter another 14 C-transmitter. Kinetic studies elucidate optimal conditions nerve endings slices or isolated, pinched-off form (synaptosomes) accumulate selectively transmitter. synaptosomal populations are separated density gradient centrifugal procedures same region transmitters electron microscopic reveal morphological features varying populations.
