摘要: Elucidating veterinary antibiotic interactions with soil is important for assessing and mitigating possible environmental hazards. The objectives of this study were to investigate the effects vegetative management, properties, >1000 Da dissolved organic matter (DOM) on sulfamethazine (SMZ) behavior in soil. Sorption experiments performed over a range SMZ concentrations (2.5-50 μmol L) using samples from three soils (Armstrong, Huntington, Menfro), each planted one vegetation treatments: agroforestry buffers strips (ABS), grass buffer (GBS), row crops (RC). Our results show that sorption isotherms are well fitted by Freundlich isotherm model (log = 0.44-0.93; nonlinearity parameter 0.59-0.79). Further investigation solid-to-solution distribution coefficients () demonstrated management significantly ( GBS > RC). Multiple linear regression analyses indicated carbon (OC) content, pH, initial concentration properties controlling sorption. Study two most contrasting our sample set revealed increasing solution pH (pH 6.0-7.5) reduced Armstrong soil, but little effect was observed Huntington containing 50% kaolinite clay fraction. presence DOM (150 mg L OC) had significant parameter; however, slightly values overall. support use mitigate loss agroecosystems, provide guidance properly managing increase sorption, enhance understanding
