摘要: Backgound: Epithelial cell proliferation activity has been reported both to be unaltered and increased in Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) associated chronic gastritis. The rate decreased following H. eradication, but results are controversial whether this change is dependent on the success of eradication. We compared positive negative gastric epithelial biopsies gastritis with without intestinal metaplasia (IM) cancer by expression nuclear antigen (PCNA) Tv image cytometry, assessed effect eradication epithelium. Methods: Brush smears antral were taken from 70 patients (42 men, 28 women, mean age 58 ± 15 y.o.) routine endoscopy. Patients divided into four groups according histology; normal epithelia (n=10), IM (n=24), (n=20), carcinoma (n=16). Thirty‐three positive, was controlled 24 cases. Cell measured immunohistochemistry using PCNA labeling index (LI) cytometry evaluating 12 morpho‐ densitometric parameters each nuclei 6 additional smear. Results: LI, DNA S + G2 ratio all higher than epithelium, further carcinoma. lower LI observed corresponds phase determined analysis. In cases, 69.3 13.05% prior it 55.8 23.31% after successful therapy. When significantly correlated percentage cells G1 (r=−0.415) (r=0.385), Integrated Optical Density (r=0.598), density maximum (r=0.608), surface (r=0.670), layers (r=0.638), diameter minimum (r=0.619), (r=0.730) perimeter (r=0.501), respectively (p < 0.05). Conclusions: turnover or IM, decreases Both methods proved reliable for determination proliferation.
