摘要: The rheological properties of several samples guar gum and locust bean gum, characterized by light scattering intrinsic viscosity measurements, were studied. flow curves concentrated solutions obtained with a cone-plate viscometer their viscoelastic measured concentric hemispheres viscoelastometer. two flow-units Ree-Eyring model the Cross equation gave good fit to experimental curves. zero shear rate viscosity, relaxation time, depend mainly on reduced concentration c[η]. This result, as well properties, indicate that entanglements play dominant role in solutions. From practical viewpoint, it is possible predict curve galactomannan solution at any if sample known. However, there are secondary differences parameters, which not ascribed [η]. It hypothesized these due mean branching degree rather than botanical origin. As, solution, smoothest macromolecules more probably aggregated isolated, further work should aim establishing relationships between aggregate formation branching.
