摘要: Precise risk stratification of atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease guides best management and therefore is a public health priority. In addition to estimation using traditional factors, tools such as coronary artery calcium, high-sensitivity C-reactive protein, ankle-brachial index carotid imaging, clinical features family history premature heart may offer opportunities for more personalized assessment. this review, we discuss the strengths limitations each these tools, focusing on evidence provided by latest studies relevant field. Among them, calcium currently stands out most powerful tool assessment, recognized 2013 ACC/AHA Risk Assessment Guideline. Recent have expanded our knowledge regarding its value improving detection both low high absolute within clinically subgroups, well cost-effectively guiding preventive therapy allocation.
